Measuring demand for in-depth AI skills requires a consistent approach across Europe. This In Brief presents a multilingual classification model developed to identify online job vacancies requiring in-depth AI skills. The model was applied to 182 million unique job postings across all 27 EU Member States from 2022 to 2025.

The approach combines a multilingual keyword dictionary with classification rules, LLM annotations and manual comparison. Following development and evaluation using 54,000 job postings, the final model achieved an average F1-score of 0.96 and was applied to the full dataset.
