Publication date: 05 March 2026
The European Employers’ Institute (EEI) has joined the Advisory Board of the European Fair Transition Observatory (EFTO), a flagship initiative supporting evidence-based policymaking for a fair and inclusive transition to climate neutrality. The EFTO is overseen by the European Commission’s DG Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion (DG EMPL).
Established under the EU’s Clean Industrial Deal, EFTO will serve as a central knowledge hub to monitor the employment, skills, and social impacts of the green transition across sectors and regions.
The EFTO features an Advisory Board composed of EU social partners, researchers, NGOs, and universities.
The Observatory is being officially launched on 5 March 2026 at the Social Climate Fund Conference. The event marks the start of the rollout of the Social Climate Fund (SCF) and provides a platform for policy makers, stakeholders and experts to exchange how the SCF can deliver tangible results for those most affected.
The EEI will contribute its expertise on employment and social policy to the Observatory’s work. Delphine Rudelli, Chair of the EEI Board, will represent the Institute on the Advisory Board, with Domenico Campogrande, Vice-Chair of the Board, serving as alternate representative.
“We are pleased to contribute to the European Fair Transition Observatory and support evidence-based policymaking to ensure that Europe’s green transition remains fair, inclusive, and economically sustainable,” said Delphine Rudelli.
As an independent research institute established by employers, the EEI looks forward to working with EU institutions, researchers and social partners to support a transition that strengthens both social cohesion and competitiveness.
